The Green Rooms
Location: St. Mary's Road, Hinckley
Date: 2013 - Today
The Green Rooms is a function room set in the Masonic Hall on St. Mary's Road in the centre of Hinckley.
The room is mainly used for weddings and similar events, but prides itself in its quality facilities and decor.
Once a year, usually around Christmas, the Green Rooms plays host to the guys behind the original Wykin venue, Ady
Cope and Colin Chamberlain, ably assisted by Pete Ankers and Joe Kirby, as they host their annual get-together.
Staying true to the values of the Wykin Social Club, the focus is on quality rare soul played with a passion. This passion draws
in the big name DJs who thoroughly enjoy this venue, and the enthusiasm of the crowd who genuinely appreciate the quality of the
music played here. If this were a national venue, this would probably be another 100 Club.
As well as local jocks Ady, Colin, Pete, and Joe, old favourites Tom Page, Paul Shaw, Les Norman and Rob Gray, there are regular guest
appearances of DJs such as Matt Sneath, Ted Massey, Pete Hulatt, and many more.
